The village of SOLIS sits on top of a hill in the heart of sixty-six acres, shaded by maple and aspen trees, overlooking the ponds and the hillsides beyond, bathed at night by the grace of the moon and the milky way and the northern lights.
The Village Commons
The Commons is the center of village life, the crossroads of a thousand barefoot desire paths. Our Big Deck provides gathering + kitchen space in warm months, and the Common House keeps villagers cozy when the the sky is grey and the wind is cold.
The Village Commons includes a Non-Violent Communication Courtyard. This space reminds us that honest, empathetic communication is central to the success of our Community, and hand-made tamarack pine benches provide a place to practice speaking to one another this way.
