I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.
- Henry David Thoreau
The Hermit represents retreat and reflection, the clarity that comes only in the quiet, the wisdom of solitude.
This cabin reflects that intention -- it is a place to escape distraction and listen patiently for your own inner voice, a place to tune into the language and music of nature happening all around us.
Located in a secluded aspen grove across the pond from the main Village, this is an ideal space for visitors who want more privacy or quiet during their stay. The cabin is furnished minimally with a comfortable queen bed and a heater to stay cozy on chilly nights -- electricity, wifi, outhouses, and running water are all available at the common house. The nearby River Trail leads to one of the most beautiful spots on the property, where you can sit on the rocks and and soak up the sun while the Lower Tamarack River sings past you.
Shared meals are available during your visit, so you can focus on reading, writing, resting, exploring, or simply existing in this beautiful place.
Suggested contribution: $100-200/night (includes meals)
